About the MICCAI Student Board
The MSB represents student interests within the MICCAI community. We stimulate the involvement of students by providing opportunities for networking with experienced professional from academia and industry, organize webinars throughout the year, conduct doctoral programs to improve the visibility of young scientists, run scientific workshops such as MSB EMERGE and manage the MICCAI Educational Initiative.
Open positions for MSB 2025
The available MSB positions this year are:
- NEW: Doctoral Programs Officer (One): Responsible for planning and executing events, such as PhD Thesis Madness, to help doctoral students showcase their work, network, and receive mentorship. Key tasks for this role include managing submissions, overseeing the review process, and handling logistics for the in-person event. Ideal candidates should be available to attend MICCAI 2025 in Daejeon, South Korea, to ensure a seamless and engaging experience
- NEW: Scientific Programs Officer (One): Responsible for organizing and coordinating the MSB EMERGE workshop, including the paper submissions, review process, and workshop logistics, as a satellite event during the conference. Ideal candidates should be available to attend MICCAI 2025 in Daejeon, South Korea.
- Public Relations Officers (Two): Responsible for managing the MSB's public relations activities, including social media engagement, to enhance the organization's visibility and reputation. This involves managing MSB social media accounts, promoting MSB events, running the MSB YouTube channel, maintaining the website’s content, and writing quarterly newsletters. The two officers are expected to work closely together, splitting responsibilities to optimize effectiveness. Applications should indicate whether the candidate prefers focusing on social media management or the general online presence of MSB.
- Social Events Officers (Two): Responsible for planning and executing social events and cultural activities during the annual MICCAI conference. This includes organizing the evening and full-day tours and ensuring their smooth operation. Ideal candidates will be available to attend MICCAI 2025 in Daejeon, South Korea.
- Executive and Financial Officer (One): Responsible for managing the organization's finances, budgeting, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations and supporting the other MSB sub-groups. Early PhD students or Master's students are preferred candidates as this is an ideal entry position.
- Local Student Liaison Officer (One): Responsible for supporting the organization of local events during MICCAI 2025. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of South Korea, particularly Daejeon, and proficiency in the Korean language.
