We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a background in computer graphics and vision, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and/or medical imaging to work on interdisciplinary research projects within our XR lab: https://xrlab.ikim.nrw/#JobOpenings
We are open to candidates from other fields, affinity with AR/VR/Programming is desired!

Conditions of admission
• M.Sc. degree in a relevant field (CS, SE, BME, ...)
• For Postdoc position: PhD degree in relevant field (CS, SE, BME, ...)

Responsibilities
Planning and execution of research in the area of medical Mixed Reality
Development and evaluation of algorithms/tools for medical Deep Learning / Mixed Reality in cooperation with physicians from the University Hospital in Essen, Germany
Supervision of Bachelor and Master students
Publication of research results and authoring of a PhD thesis

Desired qualifications:
• English at an advanced level (written and spoken)
• Solid programming skills (e.g. C++, C#, Python)
• Prior experience in computer graphics and vision
• High motivation, self-initiative, passion, and commitment to research
• Interest in AR, medical image processing, scientific work, and project management.
• Prior experience and knowledge in funding acquisitions are an advantage.
